Can I monitor the age of the snapshots?

How can I get a free trial-version?
Currently we are not planing to release any test versions. Please contact us so that we can arrange a testing period. Send us a list of plugins you would like to order for testing and we will respond with a formal offer immediately.
Why can't I just download the software from somewhere for testing?
System-monitoring software should be simple and robust; therefore no license-enforcement or usage-limits have been built in. We want to save our customers the bother of license-keys or outages due to DRM-issues. As we do not deal with legal aspects on a technical level, we need to know who is running our software. Should the software not meet expectations, you can return it free of charge.
Tests
For which devices and DataONTAP versions have you tested the plugins?
The test-environment changes from time to time; at the moment (Nov. 2010) testing is ongoing with one simulator running DataONTAP 7.3.4, one FAS3020 running DataONTAP 7.3.2P5 and one FAS3140 with DataONTAP 8.0. The scripts are also known to run fine for IBMs N-Series storage.
Who is testing?
There are two completely independent test-cycles. The first are automated unit-tests which run permanently during coding. These test have been written by the developer. The others are acceptance tests conducted in a test-environment by implementation-partners. These tests are designed and done by professional NetApp-engineers and -admins.
